Easter is the time of year for posting chocolate eggs up and down the country. But sadly Royal Mail isn’t keen to oblige. Branches of the Post Office are doing what many other businesses will be doing this Easter and closing down on certain days. But which days will they shut and when will you have a chance to post something? If at all? Larger Post Office branches are expected to close on the bank holidays Good Friday, March 30, and Easter Monday, April 2. They’re closed on Sunday as always.
Trying to get your post is not exactly easy, or indeed possible, in times like these all post offices should be open as normal on Saturday 31 March though. Also, as usual, Royal Mail are not delivering or collecting post on bank holidays – so they won’t be shifting your post on Friday, Sunday or Monday. Delivery depots will also be shut so don’t waste time going down there to pick up an undelivered parcel. Usual Saturday service is expected on Saturday 31 March, and the normal postal schedule will start up again on Tuesday 3 April.
